Cake Decorating Workshops - In Your Home

Workshops will be taught in the comfort of your home


Workshop cost $100pp and comes with two (2)- 8" round cakes  

Must have a minimum of 4 individuals per class - no more than 8

A supply list will be provided once registered and paid , with decorating icing recipe instructions to be made at home

Course 1 - The Basics

Cake Decorating Workshop with Buttercream Icing

 

Each workshop will last for 3 hours. Students will learn how to build a two-layer cake (provided with registration) with buttercream icing and directions on how to crumb coat their cake and apply a final layer of buttercream. 


The skills learned in this workshop will include how to make buttercream icing, tint buttercream icing, fill pastry bags, apply tips and how to decorate the cake with various piping techniques.  Learn how to create beautiful cake boarders and flowers.  Some techniques learned will include sweet peas, swirl flowers, roses and many more.

 

All items and tools needed to decorate must be brought to the workshop.   

Course 2 - Advanced Techniques

Cake Decorating Workshop with Buttercream Icing

 

Each workshop will last for 3 hours. Students will review techniques learned in Course 1 to include how to build a two-layer cake with buttercream icing, simple boarders and flowers.  Prerequisite - course I


The skills learned in this workshop will include how to create beautiful flowers with buttercream icing which will include roses, violets, daisies, daffodils and many more.  Learning how to create basketweaving on your cake and how to use icing transfers on your cakes to create amazing designs.

 

All items and tools needed to decorate must be brought to the workshop.   

Course 3 - Tiered Cakes & Working with Fondant

Cake Decorating Workshop with Buttercream & Royal Icing

 

Each workshop will last for 3 hours. Students will review techniques learned in previous courses.  Prerequisite - course I and II


The skills learned in this workshop will include embroidery and lace, stringwork, ruffled boarders and how to work with Fondant.  Learn how to assemble tiered cakes and go home with a work of art.  You will learn how to create beautiful flowers with buttercream icing to include Easter lilies, forget-me-not, petunias, pointsettia's and more.

 

All items and tools needed to decorate must be brought to the workshop.  

Cake Decorating Workshop with Buttercream Icing - $100

Available to students aged 15+ with adult permission. This workshop can be a little messy so please bring your own apron. 

 

Workshops requires a minimum of 4 participants and there is a maximum of 8 students. If there is insufficient enrollment, students will receive a full refund.  The cost of the class must be paid when registered either by cashapp $Kathysdeliciouscakes or with Credit Card

 

Changes and cancellations...Life does happen so we try to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds are available for cancellations made at least 10 days prior to the class.   A 50% refund is available 5 days prior to workshop. There will not be a refund offered for any cancelation less than 5 days prior to the class.
